THE JOB IN A NUTSHELL As a  Director of Data, you will own and spearhead the establishment of centralized data governance, engineering, analytics enablement, and data science enablement. You will craft and execute a comprehensive data strategy, build and lead a remote data team, and design and maintain a robust data infrastructure. Your responsibilities will also include enabling advanced analytics for strategic decision-making and ensuring data privacy and compliance. Last year, we built a data stack and enabled our teams to explore our product and financial data for self-serve analytics purposes. Now the time is right to expand our data capability to cover more use cases. For example, we aim to implement more comprehensive and consistent event tracking to support developments in existing and new parts of our product. We also aim to apply more data science to those parts of the product, and our data team has a role in enabling that. It will be the role of the Director of Data to build a focused data team covering data governance, data engineering, data analytics, and data science (including the enablement of Machine Learning models), with effective cross-functional collaboration with the Product and Engineering teams in which our data science capability is currently centered. The Director of Data will report to the VP of Engineering, and collaborate with members of the Engineering team to embed the data capability. Le Gouvernement du Congo, représenté par le Ministère de l’Economie Forestière, et Noé ont signé en avril 2021 un Accord de partenariat pour la gestion du Parc National de Conkouati-Douli, un des parcs nationaux de la République du Congo. Situé dans le sud-ouest du pays, à la frontière avec le Gabon, le Parc National de Conkouati-Douli (PNCD) revêt une importance majeure en raison de sa diversité unique d’écosystèmes, d’habitats, de faune et de flore, mêlant à la fois la richesse des forêts équatoriales et celle des eaux du Golfe de Guinée.   L’atteinte des objectifs de conservation à long terme repose inévitablement sur une gestion du territoire inclusive et participative avec les différents usagers (agriculteurs, éleveurs, pécheurs, etc.) et les structures de gouvernance, et le développement d’activités et de projets au bénéfice des communautés locales.   Afin de répondre à ces enjeux, le projet ELLESadAPt financé par l’affaires Mondiales Canada est mis en exécution par un consortium formé de Développement International Desjardins (DID) et Baastel en collaboration avec l’association Noé. Ce projet vise essentiellement le renforcement de l’adaptation aux changements climatiques des femmes et des écosystèmes du complexe d’Aires Protégées du Parc National de Conkouati-Douli (PNCD) au Congo, tout en générant des bénéfices de conservation de la biodiversité.   Mission   Sous la supervision du Directeur Technique du Projet, le responsable technique national Congo jouera un rôle central dans la réalisation des objectifs du projet, en assurant la coordination, la mise en œuvre, et le suivi des activités en accord avec les Plans de Travail Annuels (PTA) nationaux et les stratégies globales du projet.   Responsabilités générales Les tâches spécifiques du/de la responsable technique pays seront les suivantes:   Coordination des activités technique du projet: Contribution à la planification et programmation annuelle des activités en coordination avec le coordinateur national de projet, le directeur technique international et la responsable de suivi-évaluation (S&E); Coordination et suivi des activités techniques du projet au niveau du Congo, en collaboration avec la direction technique et les experts Baastel ainsi que ses partenaires notamment sur les thématiques de vulnérabilité, d’agriculture climato-résiliente, de Solution fondée sur la Nature (SfN), de bio-ingénierie et planification territoriale et des AP; Communication proactive avec les partenaires d’exécution et les parties prenantes du projet au niveau local; Recherche de synergies et complémentarités entre les différents travaux fournis sous les différentes activités réalisées et partenaires; Participation et présentation, le cas échéant, aux comités de pilotage avec les représentants des partenaires et de Baastel, et contribution à la rédaction des comptes-rendus; Coordonner la logistique et le suivi des missions dans le pays des collègues Baastel et/ou des experts court terme;   Appui au Suivi et à l’Évaluation (S&E) Consolidation et analyse des indicateurs du Cadre de Mesure des Rendements (CMR) pour évaluer les progrès du projet au Congo; Coordination et reporting régulier auprès de la direction technique et du service de Suivi-Evaluation de Baastel selon les standards requis par le bailleur; Assurer une gestion proactive de l'intégration des apprentissages en cours de projet, en mettant en place des mécanismes pour ajuster les activités; Contribution à l’évaluation finale indépendante des activités réalisées; Contribution à la gestion des connaissances et coordination avec d’autres initiatives Contribution à la gestion des connaissances, à la communication et aux initiatives de sensibilisation sur les activités du projet en étroite coordination avec la responsable de la gestion des connaissances mobilisée par Baastel.

Ensures the Hotel is very clean and well maintained at all times and work closely with the Directors to hire contractors to perform services, such as painting or plumbing when such services are needed.  Ensures that all supplies, from housekeeping materials to furniture, are in good condition and always in stock.  Implements policies, processes, strategies, plans and procedures for the operation of the establishment.
