Job Description: Provides extensive maintenance coverage in the areas of responsibility by performing maintenance work necessary to prevent functional breakdowns. Extensive experience in hydraulics preferred as duties will include maintenance and repair of equipment hydraulic systems. May be required to perform major overhaul and rebuilding of machinery and equipment. Perform diagnostics, repair, and preventative maintenance on equipment items described in the basic objective. Determines methods and sequence of troubleshooting, repair operations, and modifications to equipment by working from manufacturers manuals, drawings, and specifications, installation layouts and sketches and verbal or written instructions. Performs such typical operations as dismantling, diagnosing problem cause, repairing, mechanical servicing, and reassembling, installing and test operations of assigned equipment. Replace worn or broken parts, make adjustments and alignments as required, clean areas, and prepare equipment for full service. Must be able to interpret electrical schematics, engineering drawings, and manufacturer diagrams and manuals. Must possess diagnostic skills required to isolate and repair equipment malfunctions.
