The Forensic Programme Assistant is responsible of contributing to the execution of activities related to the strategic orientations for the ICRC forensic response in South Sudan, which seek to ensure that all policies, procedures and practices are in place for the proper search for missing persons and search, recovery, documentation and identification of the people who died as a consequence of the armed conflicts that occurred in South Sudan and other situations of violence, including adequate attention to their families, in line with forensic best practices and internationally accepted data protection standards. The Forensic Programme Assistant contributes to the management of the forensic data collected for the search for the missing person, location of grave sites and identification of human remains, using specialized case-management software. S/he is responsible for giving a comprehensive support to the forensic data management activities and forensic data team Office.
