The Civil and Gender Affairs Adviser will actively support CTSAMVM monitoring, verifying and reporting the development of social and civic conditions conducive to sustainable Permanent Ceasefire, supporting the parties’ signatories of the Peace Agreement, promoting popular engagement and confidence in the Permanent Ceasefire. The Adviser will be based in the Juba Headquarter of the Ceasefire and Transitional Security Arrangements Monitoring Mechanism (CTSAMVM). The Civil Affairs Adviser’s role is to strengthen CTSAMVM’s capacity to collaborate with non-political and non-armed stakeholders in South Sudan in order to improve the effectiveness and sustainability of reporting on the progresses of the implementation of the ACOH/ARCSS. Civic stakeholders include: faith-based organizations, traditional authorities, all levels of government (including in opposition areas), non-governmental organizations (NGOs), civil society organizations (CSOs), UN and international organisations, women’s groups, youth groups, and civilian security forces such as police, fire-fighters and prison guards etc. The Adviser will report to the Chairman of CTSAMVM and will work in collaboration with the MVTs, and other CTSAMVM technical teams to establish and maintain contacts with all stakeholders throughout the country, ensuring that...
