French/English Editor (Remote Anywhere in the U.S.)

RTI International is seeking an experienced French/English Editor with specific training and focused experience as a publications editor. The successful candidate will have experience working with a style guide such as The Chicago Manual of Style and excellent interpersonal communications skills. The editor will provide publications support to RTI’s international staff in the production of technical reports, white papers, proposals, journal articles, presentation materials, guidelines documents, outreach materials, newsletters, and brochures. Candidates must have solid editing experience of English language publications, editing experience in French, and experience working with English-as-a-second-language (ESL) authors. This position is open to all US residents. Duties include the following: • Apply skills to a broad range of editing/writing/document production tasks, including complex and unusual assignments • Edit online using appropriate markup practices • Edit ESL documents for reorganization and rewriting as required, with attention to grammar, style, format, and consistency according to appropriate style guide or knowledge of client • Edit documents written in English and in French • Edit proposals, grants, and other publications as assigned • Work with RTI technical staff...
