Purpose of consultancy To provide technical expertise and guidance for the conduct of Operational/Implementation research.     Background   The Special Programme for Research and Training in Tropical Diseases (TDR), is a global programme of scientific collaboration that helps facilitate, support and influence efforts to combat diseases of poverty.  As part of the Research for Implementation unit (IMP) portfolio, TDR has been working with public health programmes and international partners, to support research efforts in low- and middle-income countries. To facilitate the meaningful engagement of people living with asthma and COPD, focusing on low-and middle-income countries.  Background   The WHO Global Action Plan for the Prevention and Control of Noncommunicable Diseases (2013-2030) was adopted by the sixty-sixth World Health Assembly in 2013 and included the target of a 25% relative reduction in premature mortality from NCDs by 2025. These NCDs include cardiovascular diseases, cancers, chronic respiratory diseases, and diabetes.
