Department: Aftout Farm Division: Operations Location: EAM Mauritania Principal Functions (Major Areas of Responsibility): The machine Operator will Operate, Drive, Link, Safety Check, Maintenance check all or any of the farm machinery situated on the EAM farming locations. This will include 200 hp tractors, front end loaders, potato planters, ploughs, ridging machines, Alfalfa harvesting machines, boom sprayers. Duties & Responsibilities: 1. Operate 200 Hp tractors and to have knowledge of the safe operation of large agricultural tractors. 2. Safety check and physical check of all farm machinery before usage. 3. Operate towed Machines, such as bailers, trailers, harvesters, mowers. 4. Ride on or walk beside planting machines, inserting plants at specific intervals. 5. Adjust, repair, and service farm machinery and notify the workshop manager when machinery malfunctions. 6. Grease and lubricate all moving machinery parts before operation. 7. Harvest using the on farm Agricultural Machinery, Forages and Vegetable crops. 8. Have a thorough knowledge of land preparation, harrow work, ploughing, disking. 9. Fertilizer and Chemical application through the use of fertilizer spreaders and boom sprayers. 10.
