External Political Specialist. Duties Under the supervision of a Political Officer or the Political-Economic Section Chief, the job holder performs research, develops contacts, provides advice, and drafts cables and other required reports to keep the Embassy and the Department of State informed of external political and human rights-related trends and new developments.
