Communication Officer (International Consultant- CST I)

Job Purpose: WFP in Mauritania is looking for a Communications Officer (Temporary) to implement the communications plan by supporting and delivering a range of communications activities and providing research and analysis while mainstreaming gender. Under the direct supervision of the Head of the Partnerships, OIM, and Communications Unit, and in close coordination with programme and support units and sub-offices, the Communications Office r will: Key Accountabilities (not all-inclusive, within delegated authority): In line with the Partnership Action Plan 2019-2022, implement country-specific communication work plans designed to maintain and enhance the visibility and reputation of WFP, as well as support fundraising activities, ensuring alignment with overall communications and WFP strategies. Contribute to communications through good research, analysis of the assigned area of work and timely preparation and distribution of information products to target audience(s). Ensure that Arabic translation is available for main documents to be shared with public audiences (i.e press releases) and authorities.
