The specialist will work with government agencies and stakeholders to develop effective tax policies aimed at improving the health outcomes of populations by reducing the demand for tobacco. Tasks:   Coordination of research and analysis on tobacco tax policies and regulations in various countries and produce resources to support and guide the developing and implementation of effective tobacco tax policies and strategies by the countries. Provision of technical support and advice to government agencies and stakeholders on tobacco tax matters including participation in capacity building and technical assistance delivery to African countries through the upskilling of officials, review and recommendations on revision of tobacco tax policy and administration policies and procedures by evaluating policy against good practice and operational efficiency.
