Today, IMA offers extensive expertise in managing and implementing highly successful and complex donor-funded programs in nutrition, maternal and child health, health systems strengthening (HSS), malaria, HIV/AIDS, sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV), and neglected tropical diseases (NTDs). IMA has managed an average of $100 million annually over the last four fiscal years, through grants and contracts from FCDO, USAID, BHA, CDC, World Bank, the Global Fund, UNDP, MCC, and private donors. Based in Freetown, the FP/RH Advisor will provide overall technical leadership, strategic support and operational oversight for the project in the areas of family planning and reproductive health. S/he will implement and oversee reproductive health activities which aim to strengthen the availability and use of family planning. DESCRIPTION The Child Health Task aims to strengthen compressive child health programs through primary health care, inclusive of community health systems. The Task Force influences the global technical agenda for child health through advocacy with partners, convening and coordinating stakeholders, partnering with countries and providing a platform for learning and sharing knowledge and tools. The Secretariat coordinates and supports the Task Force Steering Committee, technical subgroups, and the Child Survival Action (CSA) initiative: a renewed call to action to end preventable child deaths. With seven years to the Sustainable Development Goal and 54 countries being off track to achieving the target of 25 or fewer deaths per 1,000 live births, the Task Force members agree on the need for urgent action to change the trajectory.
