SUMMARY: The projects will be implemented in Aljazirah, North Darfur and Blue Nile states. The position role involves overseeing and supporting the Protection, Health (PHC), Nutrition (CMAM) and WASH project(s) with the help of sector Technical Coordinators. Key aspects of the role include project management, partnership management, planning, M&E and representation and liaison at the local level. This position is based full-time in Blue Nile with extensive field travel to all locations. The post holder will be working closely with the technical coordinators, and technical managers for Protection, Health, Nutrition, and WASH to ensure smooth implementation of projects and budget management responsibility. Purpose of consultancy To provide technical expertise to the Mpox SAGE Working Group and update of evidence-base as well as WHO Interim Recommendations. Background The World Health Organization (WHO), Immunization, Vaccines & Biologicals (IVB) Department leads the process for developing policy recommendations for the use of vaccines, including Mpox vaccines. In order to carry out this activity, the IVB Immunization Policy Team hosts the Executive Secretariat of the Strategic Advisory Group of Experts on Immunization (SAGE). SAGE provides recommendations to the Director-General on all immunization policy related issues. In 2013, SAGE issued recommendations on the use of smallpox vaccines.
