Closing Date: 13th September, 2022 The Role: Conservation Livelihoods Officer-Jersey Oversea Aid (JOA) Project Save the Children is recruiting Project Officers for Jersey Oversea Aid (JOA) Project to implement a conservation livelihoods project in Sierra Leone. The project will run for approximately three years, and will be implemented in twelve communities of the south-western, coastal region of Sierra Leone. The Project is aim to reduce degradation of natural resources and biodiversity by ensuring conservation of mangrove ecosystems and restoration of coastal forest lands; and to equip coastal communities, including the most vulnerable households, with knowledge and skills required to adopt sustainable livelihoods practices. The Conservation Livelihoods Officers will be responsible for implementing project activities in the designated project Communities, and in close collaboration with the other officers, in order to achieve the overall project objectives; and will report to the Conservation Livelihoods Project Manager. S/he will be based in Pujehun with frequent travel and overnight stays in Mattru Jong.
