CONTEXTE  DRC/DDG s’est implanté au Niger depuis 2014 avec un programme transfrontalier de Gestion et Sécurité aux frontières avec comme objectif la réduction de la violence armée, l’amélioration de la sécurité des communautés et le renforcement de la gestion et sécurité des frontières en collaboration avec les communautés et les autorités frontalières. Dès 2016, DRC met en œuvre des programmes d’urgences de mécanisme de réponse aux déplacements, de monitoring de protection et de sécurité alimentaire avec comme bailleurs principaux: le service d'aide humanitaire et de protection civile de la Commission européenne (ECHO), le haut-commissariat aux Nations Unies pour les réfugiés (UNHCR), le Programme Alimentaire Mondial (PAM) et OFDA/USAID. En 2018, DRC renforce son expertise d’acteur d’urgence et étend sa présence dans la région de Diffa, avec du Monitoring de Protection et l’extension du programme de Réponse Rapide aux Mouvements de Population (RRM).
