Type of Contract:  Short-term consultancy Position:  Human Resources Expert Supervisor:  Chief Operating Officer Duration: [45 days] Supervisor:  Chief Operating Officer Duty Station: This consultancy will be home-based with at most 2 missions to Village Health Works (VHW) Offices in Kigutu, Burundi. Background and Context: During the past 3 years, VHW has registered significant growth in revenue, programs, clients and staff. During this period, we have consolidated our health programs (which provide quality and compassionate health care) and expanded our education, food security and economic development efforts which address the root causes of illness, poverty, violence and neglect. These efforts have enabled us to broaden the coverage of our programs and outcomes. For example, in 2018 VHW extended support to 78,000 families [a 40% increase from 2017]. In addition, our clinic served 45,000 patients who received various outpatient and inpatient services. Similarly, we conducted impact assessments which documented steady improvements in core health and education outcomes indicators among VHW supported communities.
