Job Description: International Rescue Committee (IRC) is an international non-governmental organization. It was founded in 1933, on the initiative of the famous physicist Albert Einstein. Today, IRC is a global leader in relief, rehabilitation, protection, post-conflict development, reintegration and advocacy for people affected by crises. IRC's mission is to help people whose lives and livelihoods are destroyed by conflict and disaster to survive, recover and take control of their future. IRC has been active in the Central African Republic since late 2006. It has a main office in Bangui, a base in Bocaranga (Ouham-Pendé), a base in Kaga-Bandoro (Nana-Gribizi), and Zemio. In 2015, IRC developed a new global strategy for the period 2015-2020. This strategy redefined IRC's mission and defined specific operational and organizational objectives to strengthen its mandate in humanitarian emergencies and post-conflict situations.
