Purpose of the post The post reports to the Chief of Field Operations (P5) and is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating UNICEF programs within the assigned zone. Duties include assessing the needs of vulnerable women and children, proposing interventions, coordinating with stakeholders, managing staff, identifying capacity-building opportunities, budgeting and procurement, advocating for community involvement, monitoring program implementation, and preparing reports. Summary Of Major Duties And Responsibilities Continuously monitor, assess, and analyze the needs of vulnerable women and children, propose interventions, and identify implementing institutions and community groups. Collaborate with government officials, NGOs, and UNICEF colleagues to plan, manage, and prepare project proposals, action plans, and work plans for UNICEF interventions. Supervise and coordinate staff activities in the zone and assigned outposts. Study the strengths and weaknesses of collaborating institutions, government entities, NGOs, and community groups, and recommend capacity-building strategies for UNICEF.
