Field Security Officer

IOM - UN MIGRATION

Context: The Office of Staff Security (OSS) is responsible for providing leadership on safety/security policy management and Mission operational support to enable the safest and most effective implementation and delivery of IOM programs and activities. Under the direct daily administrative supervision of the Chief of Mission (COM), and under the direct operational supervision and managerial responsibility of the Regional Security Officer (RSO), the successful candidate will be responsible for actively assisting the IOM COM with all aspects of staff safety and security management in IOM Mali. The Field Security Officer (FSO) will be expected to implement appropriate safety and security management procedures that will effectively address issues that could and has impact on all safety, security and the protection of IOM personnel and assets, including programme implementation in the country. The Position: The Gender Based Violence AOR is located in Mali country office. Under the direct supervision of the Representative, the incumbent facilitates and coordinates the rapid implementation of multi-sectoral, inter-agency GBV interventions in support of a robust and well-functioning GBV coordination body as part of the humanitarian architecture in Mali. He/she will work in close collaboration with the WCARO GBV colleagues and in particular with the GBV Area of Responsibility (GBV AoR) team, to ensure proper integration of GBV in the UNFPA national and regional response. The GBV Coordinator is responsible to ensure comprehensive GBV prevention, risk mitigation and response programming in Mali by all GBV actors from the displaced and host communities, NGOs, government partners, UN agencies, and other national and international organizations throughout the nexus humanitarian, peace and development.
