Senior Director, Humanitarian and Development Capacity & Capabilities

WORLD VISION

As the Senior Director for Humanitarian and Development Capacity and Capabilities, you will grow and strengthen the technical capabilities and capacities of World Vision’s humanitarian and development workforce, (staff and partners) leading the development and implementation of learning and professional development initiatives, supporting technical talent management and communities of practice in close collaboration with key stakeholders across the World Vision (WV) Partnership. You will work closely with global and regional colleagues across WV’s Global Field Operations, People & Culture and Support Office teams. You will oversee the humanitarian surge capacity mechanisms for major humanitarian responses and the development programmes ‘technical academy’ that works across WV’s priority sectors: child protection, health and nutrition, education, livelihoods and WASH, and will strengthen capabilities to partner effectively with local actors. You will be a member of WVI’s Humanitarian (Disaster Management) and Development (Ministry Integration) leadership teams, supporting work across the humanitarian-development-peace nexus and aligning systems and processes between these within World Vision’s wider learning and development systems.

Governance Financing Agreement reference: 2100155042069 Project ID No.: P-Z1-KFO-075   The African Tax Administration Forum (ATAF) has received financing from the African Development Fund toward the cost of the Regional Institutional Support Project for Public Financial Governance – Phase II (RISPFG) and intends to apply part of the agreed amount for this Grant to payments under the contract for a Long term Expert on Tax Information System.   The services included under this project are improving income tax policy and administration in African countries by providing expert advice, support and training to tax officials, developing effective income tax policies and regulations, and building strong relationships with stakeholders. Long term Expert on Tax Information System will manage the programme of projects and activities to meet the ATAF’s strategic objectives in this regard. The Long term Expert on Tax Information System will be responsible for establishing, implementing, developing, and aligning to best practices and projects throughout the organization. This includes defining and documenting IT TAS project lifecycles to deliver projects according to plan, within budget and creating formal methodologies for defining project key performance metrics and resource allocation.
