About the role Concern Worldwide is the Consortium Lead for a 4-year programme DIZA-Est “ Programme de Développement Inclusif des Zones d'Accueil au Tchad dans l’Est du Chad”. Grounded in the tripe nexus, its overall objective is to improve the living conditions and the resilience of the local population in areas of high concentrations of refugees and returnees in three provinces in Eastern Chad (Ouaddai, Sila, and Salamat). The programme is implemented in consortium with two other international NGOs and a number of local partners, with Concern as the lead agency. We are seeking a MEAL Consortium Coordinator with strong coordination, planning and communication skills, preferably with a background in M&E, Learning and accountability. This is a 16 month role with unaccompanied terms based in N’Djamena. It is at grade 4 and has a salary range €43,268- 48,076 per annum plus benefits. Background Over the last decade, the four countries around Lake Chad Basin, Cameroon, Chad, Niger, and Nigeria have experienced unprecedented crises exacerbated by repeated incidences of violence from the Boko Haram terrorist group. In response to the situation, the Lake Chad Basin Commission (LCBC), in partnership with African Union (AU) Commission with support from UNDP, developed the Regional Strategy for the Stabilization, Recovery & Resilience of the Boko Haram-affected Areas of the Lake Chad Basin (RSS). The RSS provides a comprehensive, integrated, and multilevel framework for overall stabilization through nine inter-related pillars, including military support to the MNJTF, humanitarian assistance, and critical interventions to secure early recovery and long-term resilience. UNDP has developed the Regional Stabilization Facility (RSF) for the Lake Chad Basin region in support of the RSS implementation.
