Functional Responsibilities The main objective of this assignment is to train and build staff capacity on the Kolongo Landfill Operations and Maintenance. Under the supervision of the project manager and in collaboration with the environmental specialist, the incumbent’s main activities will include, but not limited to, the following: Elaborate a detailed training curriculum based on the Landfill’s Operations and Maintenance Plan and submit for approval; Organize and supervise a qualifying and intensive day-to-day landfill Management course. This training shall be carried out during a three month period where the landfill staff shall be given on the job training of 30% theoretical instruction and 70% of practical field exercises during real life landfill operations, and impregnation of advanced landfill maintenance and operations; Ensure the upgrading of the knowledge of the beneficiaries who have no previous training in the field and/or who need to improve their skills and monitor the implementation of these skills during the landfill’s real life operations and maintenance; Sensitize the municipal landfill staff to become imbued with the project to facilitate their appropriation of the project's achievements; Organize the evaluation at the end of the training and give certificates of success to the staff...
