Typical duties : Develops standards and procedures for chemical analysis and use Supports production installations regarding production chemical issues, scaling, emulsions, hydrates, asphaltines, waxing and any other process-related production chemical issues Monitors usage of chemicals and analyses against production / process data Undertakes laboratory testing of samples sent from production installations Manages study work relating to Production Chemistry and Flow Assurance, Develops, blends and tests chemical products Undertakes troubleshooting on chemical-related production problems Actively participates in and promotes company health and safety campaigns, policies and procedures, and ensures personal safety and that of colleagues at all times General duties: Preparing test solutions, compounds, and reagents for conducting tests and advising and coordinating test procedures Determining chemical and physical properties, compositions, structures, relationships, and reactions of organic and inorganic compounds.
