Org. Setting and Reporting This position is located in the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA), duty station Bangui. The incumbent will report to the Chief Delivery and Return Section, Supply Chain Services. Responsibilities Within delegated authority, the Chief Transport Officer will be responsible for the following duties: Provide leadership, work direction, supervision and advice to the Central Maintenance & Repair Unit Staff, ensuring that Fleet and equipment Maintenance and Repair plans are executed in accordance with agreed KPI's. •Develops and implements the Vehicle Establishment Program and manages it in accordance with the decisions of the Vehicle Establishment Committee (VEC) and current Department of Peace Operations and Department of Operational Support (DPO/DOS) policies and directives on the acquisition, receipt, distribution, maintenance, utilization and disposal of the surface transport fleet. •Develops and implements the Mission Vehicle Acquisition Plan, the Mission Vehicle Maintenance Plan and the Mission Vehicle Recovery Plan in order to ensure that a field mission fleet is optimized to meet operational requirements. •Ensure that Strategic Deployment Stocks (SDS) Vehicles and equipment are routinely maintained and...
