Project background The purpose of the WCAR CRVS FSPI project is to strengthen access to rights and good governance in Africa. To this end, the project particularly focuses on the attainment of universal birth registration in West and Central Africa, and the realization of all children’s right to a legal identity. Such a right is all the more relevant as it is the one that enables children’s access to other social, economic, civic and political rights until adulthood, and a cornerstone of development.
